Celebration of African Australians Inc is registered as a charitable organisation for the advancement of culture with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We are also registered on the Register of Cultural Organisation (ROCO) — Organisations and Funds with the Office for the Arts and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient Organisation (DGR).
What does this mean?
It means you can claim a Tax reduction with your donations to the ‘AFRICAN CULTURAL CENTRE GIFT FUND’. A tax receipt will be issued to you which you can claim back on your tax return. No monies and/or assets in this fund will be distributed to members or office bearers of the Association, except as reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses incurred on behalf of the fund or proper remuneration for administrative services. Your donation will be used for the principal purpose of the organisation
WHAT YOUR DONATION CAN DO
Your donation will help us organize African performing art events that will inspire and motivate young upcoming Artists.
Promote new African Performing Art Projects directly and indirectly to reflect African Cultural Heritage.
Cover the administrative cost of the African Cultural Centre to promote African Artists, Music, Festival, Dance and learn about African Performing Arts and Culture.
To organize an international bridging/exchange programs for cultural, educational and tourism between Australia and Africa.
Establish and present Awards, scholarships and prizes to African Australian Performing Artists and Organizations.
